From microscopic tear to complete rupture associated with loss of function, Hamstring injuries are responsible for keeping the players away from the practice and competition for a longer period of time. Teams had to spend substantial amount of money, often more than the player’s remuneration towards these injuries. Compared to the traditional active knee extension test, the newly proposed functional hamstring flexibility test is significantly smaller in the measure of knee extension than a non-functional assessment position, such as the active knee extension test.
